Boat Winterization Special

Here's what the special includes:

  • Grease Gimbal bearing
  • Drain and refill outdrive unit
  • Add fuel stabilizer to fuel tank(s)
  • Remove prop, grease prop and shaft with anti-corrosion grease, replace prop and torque to specifications
  • Grease all outdrive fittings
  • Run motor, bring up to operating temperature
  • Check shift and throttle control, check steering and clean flame arrester
  • Check closed cooling system if equipped
  • Change oil and filter, run engine and check for oil leaks
  • Fog engine with storage seal mixture
  • Replace water separator filter
  • Drain engine block, exhaust manifold(s), and power steering cooler
  • Check all fluid levels, drive belts and hoses
  • Drain bilge of boat
  • Attach all engine drain plugs, bilge plug, and keys to steering wheel
  • Leave outdrive in trailer position
  • Make sure battery has good charge
  • Disconnect battery and clean terminals
  • Cover center of propellor
  • Lube bearing buddies on trailer
  • Check all trailer lights
  • Torque trailer wheels to specifications
  • Check for proper tire inflation
  • Winterize ballast systems
