About Centurion
Centurion was founded in 1976 by world record holding boat racer Rick Lee who is still the President and CEO.[2] Centurion built its first tournament waterski boat in 1979. In 1983 the Warrior Barefoot Comp was the first outboard boat to pull the prestigious AWSA Barefoot Nationals. In 1984 Centurion developed S-Rails which were a simple, yet innovative way to reduce spray from the bottom of the boat. Borrowing from the V-Drive race boat designCenturion built the first V-Drive watersports boat in 1986. The first production boat designed specifically for wakeboarding and wakesurfing was designed by Centurion in 1995. In 2003 Centurion developed the sideswipe exhaust which made wake surfing safer behind the boats, and in 2005 Centurion developed ventilated tracking fins.
